We’re looking for a System Administrator to join the mSpot team of intelligent and creative individuals. As part of the System Administrator team, you’ll be able to take part in building a world-class technical operation and an extremely proactive management system for a burgeoning environment. To top it all off, you will get a hands-on experience in a wide variety of technologies. The Role:

• Create fast front-ends for our consumer site and partner portals using your expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Flash.
• Passion for developing well-architected, maintainable, and clean code
• Work closely with our product management team and architect to create new user experiences which engage our users
• Create new applications in PHP which expose our core infrastructure in new and exciting ways
• Solid and extensive experience with distributed, server side application development
• Constantly factor and re-factor your code for reusability, repeatability, and maintainability
• Work with QA to ensure the products reliability
• Work with agile/scrum development methodologies
• Actively research and implement tools and processes to enhance team productivity and system quality.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Expert in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• 2+ years of Java or C++ programming
• 2+ years of web development experience
• 2+ years of work experience with SQL or MySQL
• Basic understanding of OOP principles
• Able to own projects and take the initiative to see things through conclusion
• Good communication and personal skills: ability to interact and work well with members of other functional groups in a project team and a strong sense of project ownership

The Music Team is responsible for building the clients for mSpot Music. This service utilizes server software components to mobilize a customer’s music. The role for this position is to create desktop application on Windows and Mac OSX to support this.

What we’re looking for

mSpot is currently looking for a software engineer to join the team. Software engineers are given a lot of responsibility. They’re involved in the whole software development life cycle: from requirements definition to customer delivery. Technical responsibilities include:software design, effort I estimation, implementation, unit testing, integration, and bug fixes. Our Software Engineers own their product and work closely with the Quality Assurance group to ensure a successful end user experience.

Requirements:

~BS/MS in Computer Science or an equivalent
~2 or more years of experience with C, C++ or Objective C
~Windows and Cocoa experience a definite plus!
