MSPOT MAKE-A-RINGER BRINGS 'DO IT YOURSELF' RINGTONES TO MOBILE PHONES

Mobile Music Pioneer Launches Ringtone Customization Application for Phones; Works in Partnership with Music Labels and Mobile Operators

PALO ALTO, Calif., - Oct. 8, 2007 – mSpot, a pioneer in mobile music and radio, today unveiled mSpot Make-A-Ringer, the first service in North America to let consumers use their mobile phones to easily and legally create completely customizable ringtones from their favorite songs.

mSpot Make-A-Ringer will offer a large catalog of songs that consumers can browse or search by artist, genre and title. To make a ringtone, the consumer selects a song and mSpot Make-A-Ringer generates a graphical waveform corresponding to the selected song. The application then provides a simple editor that displays the waveform with a sliding window on top that allows the consumer to easily set the start, end and duration of their custom ringtone. The consumer can preview the ringtone before mSpot Make-A-Ringer creates and downloads it to the phone.

“Make-A-Ringer will revitalize ringtone sales and let mobile operators maintain their momentum in this segment,” said Daren Tsui co-founder and CEO of mSpot. “We are working in partnership with music labels and mobile operators to have the largest catalog of songs from which consumers can easily and legally make their own custom ringtones.”

mSpot Make-A-Ringer will be available to mobile operators as a standalone service or a compliment to mSpot’s other popular mobile music services, which include mobile streaming radio and videos, and the mSpot Remix over-the-air (OTA) music syncing service that allows consumers to listen to the music on their PCs from their mobile phones.

mSpot will be demonstrating mSpot Make-A-Ringer at CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007 in San Francisco October 23-25. To see Make-A-Ringer in action, visit mSpot at booth 1044.
