Customizable Ringtone Application Available to BREW Operators; Finalist for BREW 2008 Developer Awards

PALO ALTO, Calif., – May 28, 2008 – mSpot, a mobile music company, announced the availability of mSpot Make-UR-Tones, a customizable ringtone application developed for Qualcomm’s BREW® solution. As BREW operators add Make-UR-Tones to their product offerings, more consumers will be able to use their mobile phones to easily create unique ringtones from full tracks. mSpot will showcase Make-UR-Tones and the rest of its products at booth #31 at the BREW 2008 Conference, May 28-30 in San Diego.

“mSpot Make-UR-Tones allows BREW operators to offer one of the largest mastertone catalogs in North America with more than 250,000 tracks from many major and independent record labels giving subscribers the ability to completely customize their ringtones,” said Daren Tsui, co-founder and CEO of mSpot. “Make-UR-Tones and other mSpot services bring personalized, seamless music experiences to the mobile phone.”

“mSpot’s new Make-UR-Tones application effectively blends two popular areas of mobile content – personalization and music – into one application, allowing consumers to truly customize their mobile experience,” said Kathy Braegger, senior product manager and head of developer relations for Qualcomm Internet Services. “By creating applications that allow for a more personalized experience, developers like mSpot are offering more opportunities to drive the uptake of wireless data services.”

mSpot Make-UR-Tones lets consumers use their mobile phones to easily and legally create completely customizable ringtones from mSpot’s catalogue including titles from Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group, EMI Group, and indie distributors IRIS and INgrooves. To make a ringtone, consumers choose the song they want from the catalog. Next, they choose the beginning and end of the ringtone using the application’s easy-to-use waveform editor. Users can listen to the song while editing as well as preview the ringtone before downloading the DRM protected copy to their phones.

As evidence of mSpot’s Make-UR-Tones’ originality, the application has been voted a finalist within the Best Up & Coming Application category of the BREW 2008 Developer Awards. The Up & Coming Application category showcases applications that exhibit a creative, unique and practical use of BREW technology. Winners for all seven of the BREW Developer Award categories will be announced at BREW 2008.

mSpot Make-UR-Tones is available to mobile operators as a standalone service or a complement to other mSpot popular mobile music services, which include mobile streaming radio and videos, and the mSpot Remix over-the-air (OTA) music syncing service, which allows consumers to listen to the music on their PCs from their mobile phones.
